SYSTEMS TRAINING COORDINATOR (FULL-TIME)

JOB DESCRIPTION

The systems training coordinator is responsible for assessing professional educational needs; developing, implementing, and evaluating all education and training programs; with special emphasis on maximizing the benefits of the software capabilities. Strong customer service skills are required. Advantage Health Systems utilizes Netsmart Enterprise for both their EHR and PM Systems Training experience related to a wide variety of computer software programs, preferably in a health care setting, are preferred.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facilitates software and hardware training and orientation of new hires, including physicians and other care givers. Sets Core Competencies for all staff with regards to training.

  • Sets up training sessions and is the primary educator for current employees and new hires on computer hardware, software, and other equipment. Creates and maintains formal Corporate Training Schedule.

  • Regularly assesses the training needs of staff using interviews, surveys, observation ,audits, and quality improvement data and facilitates the development of departmental training goals.

  • Consults with department directors and managers on problems that can be solved through training.

  • Serves as an instructor for a variety of training programs when qualified. Coordinates external professional training if needed.

  • Gathers, develops and makes available appropriate training resources and lesson plan material (e.g., books, DVDs, online resources, training manuals) for professional development and personal use.

  • Gathers and analyzes progress and results from training programs and prepares reports on findings.

  • Flexibility in work hours may be required, along with potential short-term travel for training.

  • Regularly schedule meetings with the CEO and Director of Nursing to share successes and concerns.

  • Other duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A degree in Computer Science or any computer-related field is preferred.

  • Training experience related to a wide variety of computer software programs is preferred.

  • Dependable transportation as traveling to various Advantage Health Systems sites is required.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, as well Netsmart EHR.

  • Knowledge of customer service–related concepts.

  • Knowledge of instructional adult learning techniques and equipment, human resources development and quality management concepts.

  • Knowledge of current trends and issues in professional training and development.

  • Knowledge of how to identify education and training needs in health care setting and direct related program development and instruction.
