Bereavement Counselors are there for the families of the patient to ensure they receive emotional support both during and after the patient has passed away. We provide these to the caregivers, friends, and family of our patients, as well as the general community at no cost. Please call us for support, we have supportive care available 24 hours a day.

    • Bereavement literature mailings

    • Memorial services

    • Individual & family counseling

    • Referral for support groups, long-term individual/family counseling or other needed services

As healthcare professionals, it is our hope to walk alongside the stages of grief that one may experience. Grief is individual and the stages of grief (denial and isolation, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance) can present in no particular order allowing one’s bereavement to pose challenging. For many, one may undergo through these stages concurrently as their loved one happens to be receiving services with Advantage Health Systems Hospice.
